Trained as Batman’s protégé, Jason Todd brings a relentless sense of justice as Robin, who sets his sights on bringing down the Joker. But can Batman save Robin from a fate worse than death? Tragedy, revenge and redemption await in this groundbreaking DC film! Who will live? Who will die? Who will watch over Gotham?
Batman: Death in the Family is DC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s first-ever venture into interactive storytelling that allows fans to choose where the story goes through an innovative navigation guided by your remote control. Central to the short film is an adaptation of “Batman: A Death in the Family,” the 1988 landmark DC comic book event where fans voted by telephone to determine the story’s ending.
So by the time of writing this review, I’ve played through all three choices and I most definitely have a favourite! My favourite choice is ‘Robin cheats death’ … I’m not going to spoil any of the choices, well we all know how one turns out, but trust me the storyline that comes out of my choice is a ridiculously interesting one! One that I am desperate to see! One that will have such an extended effect on the wider Bat family and other teams of heroes!
I really really enjoyed the interactivity of this movie. A movie we all know and love! I adore this story and to be able to change it in so many ways is really appealing! Each choice makes for a really intriguing story, each keeping me equally engrossed. Seriously the actual movie could have gone any of these ways and still be a classic in my eyes.
All of the actors deliver perfect displays just like the original. Each of them living up to their new roles in an evolving classic!
Make sure you pick up a copy and start directing your very own version of this classic story.
