Suicide Squad unites some of DC’s unlikeliest villains for its bloodiest series yet! The Squad’s new mission is to neutralise a new group of international super-terrorists known as the Revolutionaries. Not everyone on either side will make it out alive! When the U.S. government’s most deniable team of do-badders realise that the surviving
Revolutionaries will be joining the Squad, all hell breaks loose! Who can Harley Quinn and Deadshot trust when their new teammates are the very people their crew was assigned to kill? The Suicide Squad doesn’t just need to worry about surviving their next mission... now they have to survive each other!
Tom Taylor is back and it feels so good...killing of characters like I knew he would….
I adore Tom Taylor’s writing and when I saw that he would be taking on the squad, I was filled with excitement and strangely...blood lust. I knew that with Tom on board there were going to be a lot of death, I was just hoping that he hadn’t found a way to kill of Green Arrow!
On to the issue, for me, this was an incredible way to start the series. It seems that the series will be very poignant to society in real life which personally i think is refreshing. Meeting the Revolutionaries was amazing I don't have any favourites thus far, it's too early to tell. Fin, Scale and Wink are promising though!
The absolute highlight of this issue for me is the way Harley and Deadshot interact with the new members of Task Force X! The humour is addictive and I don't know about everyone else but I felt a sort of loyalty to Floyd and Harley and shared their views.
An excellent first issue, I can't wait for more death, destruction and general mayhem!
“I know right? Falling to our death, pretty scary.” - Wink.
